Almamy is Azura’s Senegal Country Representative and Business Development Director based in Dakar. A seasoned executive with over 15 years experience in Finance, Advisory and Renewable Energy, over 10 of which have been in Africa. Almamy is a former Banker from Deutsche Bank in London and Ecobank in Senegal where he was in charge of Origination and Sales, Deal Execution and Trade Finance for the Treasury department. After Ecobank Senegal, Almamy lead Tranformation Consulting Services’ advisory efforts in Senegal where he provided technical assistance to support Government of Senegal agencies on various Development projects funded by AfDB, World Bank, USAID (US Cooperation), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, AICS (Italian Cooperation). Prior to joining Azura, Almamy was co-founder and CEO of SBG (Smart Bioenergy Group), a leading biogas company licensed by the Government of Senegal to install plants, produce biogas and biofertilizer for the rural area in Senegal.
Almamy is a self-starter with strong business acumen. He is fluent in English, French and Wolof.
